CHAP. 29.-AN ACT for the benefit of Jesse Yates.    1839.
WHE~REAS, it is represented io the present General Assem-
bly, that the said Yates suffers great inconvenience by reason
of the road from Mountsterling to the Olympian Springs, run-
ning through his farm, so as to cut off his stock from their
usual watering places-for remedy whereof,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That it shall and may be lawful for the said
Jesse Yates to construct a culvert under said road, so as to
admit of the passage of his stock, provided the said Yates, at
his own expense, keep the same in repair so as not to hinder,
or in any way to obstruct the travel upon said road.
Approved December 19, 1839.
CHAP. 30.-AN ACT for the benefit of James V. Fortune and George M. For-
tube.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That James V. Fortune and Grorge M. For-
tune, sons of Elisha Fortune, of Monroe county, be, and they
are hereby, legitamatized, and made capable of inheriting, by
devise, descent, or otherwise, and entitled to all the rights and
privileges that they would have been, had they been born in
lawful wedlock.
Approved December 19, 1839.
CHAP. 31,-AN ACT for the benefit of the Jailer of Nicholas county.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That it shall be lawful for the Jailer of Nicholas
county to reside, with the consent of the County Court of
Nicholas, at any place within the town of Carlisle.
