Be it enctrd bl7 the General Assembly of the 'rrusts to be Commonr olth f Kcntucky, That there shall he seven mintually elect- trustees for said town of Augusta, who shall be elect- ed. ed at the court-house in the said town on the first *Wednesd in September annually, who shall con- tinue in ofice until others shall he duly elected and Vacancicshow qualified; they'shall have power to fill all vacancies tilled, that may happen in their body by death, resignation, or removal without the bounds of said town, or other- wise, by appointing others to fill such vacancy: and Totakeanoath before they act as trustees, they shall take an oath of office. before some justice of the peace in said county, that they will faithfully perform their duty as trustees of said town aw long as they continue in office, without
