and one thousand dollars to be paid out .of the funds
arising from tolls, at the gate upon the Madison fork Appropriation
of the turnpike and wilderness road, be appropriated mode of pay-
towadsbuilding said bridge; but the said sum is not ment.
to be paid until the commissioners aforesaid, shall re-
port to the auditor of public accounts, under their
hands and seals, that the said bridge is completed ac-
cording to the provisions of this act; to the truth of
which report, said commissioners shall make oath.
SEQ. 5. B0 it fktker enacted, That the commission- The undertaker
eM aforesaid shall, in making a contract for building to 6ive bond
said bridge, enter into writings with the undertaker, and security.
and take from said undertaker, bond andgood security,
that the bridge contracted to be built, shall'stand and
be fit for use, for ten years after it is completed; and Condition
such bood shall be lodged in the auditor's oflice, with thereof.
the report aforesaid, and placed in suit at the instance
of any of said commissionevs  in. case the stipulations
of said bond be not comphiedwith or are broken; and
the amount recovered shall be appropriated to repair-
ing said bridge.
Suc. 6. Be itfurther enacted, That the commission-
ers aforesaid; shall be allowed one dollar per day each. .o.
for each- avd'every day, they-shall spend in attending commissioner.

public treasury, on their makingafidavit of, the num-
ber of days they are respectively employed in super-
intending the erection of said, bridge.
Sac. 7. Be it further enacted, That neither of the Commissiaerc

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Com-
monweolth of Kentucky,. That the following sums be Aowaaces
paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise
appropriated,. viz:
To the Speakers of the Senate and House of Re- Speakers Sen-
presentatives, four dollars per day each.        ate and H. IL
To the Clerks of the Senate and House of Repre- Clerks Senate
sentatives, sixty dollars per week' each.        and H. R.
