*HAP. 163.-An act for the benefit ofthejailor of Nelson county.
WHEREAS, Polly Watson has been confined in the
jail of Nelson county, under an attachment from the
Nelson Circuit Court, to compel her to give testimo-
ny in behalf of the Commonwealth, against William
Watson and others, who are prosecuted for the mur-
der of Jacob Coffman and - Courtney; and as
there is no way provided by law to pay the said jailor
for keeping her as aforesaid:
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Com-
monwealth of Kentucky, That Alexander McCown be,
and be is hereby entitled to payment out of the trea-
sury, for keeping said Polly Watson in jail as afore-
said, at the same rates, and under the same regula-
tions, as are now provided by law for keeping prison-
ers charged with felony; and the Auditor is directed
to issue his warrant accordingly.
