CHSAP. 154.-An act for the benefit of Jemima Duncan and  1 897.
children.
WHFREAS, it is represented to the present General
Assembly, that Nathaniel Foster did transfer to his
daughter, Jernima Duncan. and to her infant chil.
dren, one female negro slave, named Keziah, and her
increase, that is to said Jemima one moiety, and to
her children, Nancy ard Maria, who are infants, the
other moiety; and that the said Jemima and her chil-
dren have removed to the State of Indiana,and wishes
a sale thereof; and that previous to their removal,
the said Jemima authorized Win. P. Fleming to sell
and convey on her behalf; and that said Keziah hath
departed, this life, leaving a male child, now about
one year old, named Warders; and that it will con-
duce to the benefit of said infants, to authorize a sale
thereof:. Therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Com-
monwealth of Kentucky, That said William P. Flem-
ing be hereby authorized and empowered, upon the
part of the said infants, Nancy and Maria Duncan, to
sell and convey said negro slave, iuamed Warders,
upon such credit as to him may seem meet; and to
pay over to said infants, the amount they are entitled
to receive respectively, after defraying the recessary
expenses of keeping the same, and attending the sale.
Provided however, that he shall first execute bond, with
sufficient security, in the clerk's office of the Flemirg.
County Court,the security to be approved of by said
clerk, in the penalty of two hundred dollars, condi-
tioned for the faithful execution of this act.
Approved, January 25th, 1827.

Much discontent and great difference of opinion)
agitating the county of Oldham, relative to the loca-
tion of their seat ofjustice, and the state having from
time to time attempted, but ineffectually, through le- Recital
gislative agency, to remedy the evil, and give satis-
faction; and it being considered that in all local mat-
ters, concerning most particularly the citizens of a
county, a majority of those interested have an indis-
putable right to determine: Therefore,
