Ward.
WHEREAS, it is represented to the present General
Assemhbly, that William Ward, grandfather of Wil-
liam F. and Sarah E. Ward, coniveyed to his two
grand children a negro boy named Jim; and that the
father and mother of said infants are dead; and that
the said William Ward, with whom the infants live,
is about to remove to some one of the new states,
and intends taking said infants with him, and is de-
sirous of selling said boy, and vesting the proceeds
in land: Wherefore,
SEC. 1. Be it ertacted by the General Assembly of the
Commonwealth of Kentyuky, That the said William
Ward be, and he is hereby authorized to sell, at pub-
tic auction, in the town of Georgetown, the said ne-
gro boy for cash in hand, having first given ten days
notice thereof in the American Sentinel, printed in
Georgetown; and vest the proceeds in the purchase
of land in some of the new states, in the names of said
infants.
SEc. 2. Be it further enaoted, That the said William
Ward- shall, before he sells said negro boy, enter into
bond, in the clerk's office of Scott county, with good
and sufficient security, in.the penalty of six hundred
dollars, for the faithful application of the funds arising
from said sale, as contemplated by this bill.

CHAP. ll.-An att to authorize the sale of part of the public
ground in the toAwa of Perryville, by commissioners.
WHEREAS, it is represented by a number of peti-
tioners living in the town of Perryville, Mercer coun-
ty, that on the west side of Chaplin, a stream run- Rcital.

ginally intended for a street, than is necessary for
that purpose: Therefore,
SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the
Commonwealth of Kentucky, That Charles F. Bur- Comiission-
ton, Joseph Frost, Mason Varmoy, Joseph Jeffries, ers appointed
and John D. Robertson, be, and they are hereby to lay off a
consfituted and appointed commissioners to lay offa street and sell
a part of the
street sixty feet in width, on the west side of Chaplinm, public ground
so as not to interfere with any lot or building within
