1327.   e~don (eed book A, wants binding and indexing:
'-       Therefire,
Src. 1. Be it eacted by the General Assembly of the
Com mot'erlth of Keducky, That the clerik of the
-aid county he and he is hereby authorized to pro-
cure the binding of the aforesaid book, and indexing
the same'; and that the said clerk be and he is hereby
authorized to purchase a book, and record the entries
aforc  id, which never have been recorded; and that
the said clerk be allowed one and a half cents for
every twenty words in each and every entry record-
ed as aforesaid; and the said court shall thereupon
certifv to the Auditor of public accounts, the amount
that the said clerk shall be entitled to; allowing him
the price paid for said book-binding, indexing and re-
cording said entries; which the Auditor is directed
to allow and pay out of any taxes that may be receiv-
ed on law process by said clerk.

CHAP. 55.-An act to regulate ferries on the Tennescee river
and part of Cumberland river.
SEc. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the
Commonwealth of Kentucky, That hereafter it shall
not be lawful for any County Court to establish any
ferry over the Tennessee river, or over that part of
the Cumberland river, which runs through the coun-
ties of Trigg, Caldwell and Livingston, nearer than
one mile above or one mile below any other ferry
which has heretofore been established, or may here-
after be established.

WHERAS, it is represented to the present General
Assembly, that Hay Battaile did, on the fifth day'oi
January, one thousand eight hundred and twenty-
five, make and acknowledge to record in the clerk's
office of the Clark County Court, a deed of trust to
Preamble.  Reuben T. Ta3 or and John Battaile, as trustees, on
sundry slaves therein mentioned, for the benefit oi
Ann Bat tailk the wife of said Hay, during her natur.
