Be it enacted by the General Jlssembly of the Com-
inon-wealth of Kentucky, That it shall not be lawful
for any person to appropriate any part of two thou-
sand acres of land on Shelby's creek in Pike coun- 9000 acres in

aforesaid land, or any part thereof.

Ca.%P 128.-An act to authorize Samuel Shannon to sell a slave
owned by his ward. Mary Shannon.
WHEREAS, it is represented to the General As-
sembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, that
MIary Shannon,. an infant, owns a certain negro
slave named Dick, which slave is unruly, and un-
manageable, and that there is great danger of said
negro escaping from this commonwealth ; There,.
fore,
Be it enacted by the General .Isseinbly of the Com-
monwealth of Kentucky, That Samuel Shannon, the
brother and guardian of the said Mary, is hereby
authorized to sell said slave, and convey to the pur-
chaser, all the right and title of said Mary, in and,
to sail slave ; provided however, before said Sam-.
nel shall sell said slave, he shall execute bond with
security, to be approved of by the county court of
Shelby, to said court, conditioned, to account for
and pay to the said Mary, the purchase money of
said slave, when she shall have arrived at the age of
twenty-one years, with interest thereon from the
time of the sale.
