CIIA. 0.  An act grnating further powers to the  trustees of the
towxn ot Louisville, and for other purposes
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General .Assembly of
the Comilion-wealth of Kentucky., That hereafter th
Trustees may trustees of the town of Louisville, shall have power,
lely taxes.  annually, to levy and collect from each free male
inhahiiant of said town, oer the age of twenty one
years, a poll tax not exceeding one dollar ; and on
r'al and personal property or said town, such sum
as they mav dem necessary, not exceeding forty
cents for et er.  hundred dollars of the assessed value

money n he be expended in the imiprovement of said town, not

and their stnccessors in office. They and their suc-
cessors in ollice shall have authority to purchase
and ho!d real estate, for the purposes of erecting

John Roxan, be and the same is hereby confirmed :

on exchange  not to exceed thirty dollars on each exchange or

Sec. -2. That said Truistees may number and li-

persons or goods, granting such license for a year
or less time, in their discretion, taking bond and se-
curity from the person to \%hom the license is giv-

transportation atid delivery of all .goods entrusted
to their care for carriage-%hicl, bond may be ta-
ken to, and in lie name of the trustees and their
sucessors in office, and put in suit by any p)er'sonL
aggrieved, at their proper costs and chiarges : upon
