WHEREAS, John Black and Christina his wife,
late Christina Harlow, and Henry Harlow, John     Rectal.
larlow and Adam Hailow, infants, by their guar-
dian Joshua Ba.rbee, have petitioned this present
General Assembly, representing that they are the
owners of two slaves, which have come to them by
de-vise, and that the same cannot be equ:ally divided
among them ; Therefore,
Be it enacted by the General .ssembly of the Com-
mon-wealth of Kentucky, That it shall and may be
lawful for the said John Black, and the said infants,
by their guardian, to petition the Lincoln circuit
court, praying a sale of said slaves, or either of Lincoln circuit
them, and a division of the proceeds of such sale - court to de-,
mong thorn. And if it shall be made appear to the certain slaveso
satisfaction of said court, that it is to the mutual in-
terest of the parties, that the prayer of the petition
should be granted, said court shall have the power,
jurisdiction and authority, to decree a sale of said
