L, Be it enacted by. the General .As sembly ,of the Coinonwealth of Aentncky, That front and after the passage of this act, all that tract or parcel of ground, lying and being within the filowing Theoundk- boundaries, to wit : Beginning at the end next to riesof the the river, of tipper cross street, winch divides the town desil ten acre lots, from the one icre lots, as the said town nated. vas laid off by Samuel Hqopkins, and running with said street inchuding the same, to the fourth or back street, running paralel with the river, thence with said street, inichdin.g it, to the fourth cross street below tile public square ; thence with said fourth cross street, including the same, to the Ohio river; 1hence with the' Ohio, meandering the same, to the beginning; shall be known as the town of Render- s011, , SEc. 2. Be it futrther enacted, That the trustees of said town, shall have the power to levy any a-, mount of taxes on said town, not exceeding two liutadred and fifty dollars ; and they shall annualy, The trustees during the months of May or June, appoint a town of the town assessor, and make him such compensation as they authorized to may think proper for his services ; whose duty it tad col. shall be, u ithin three months after his appointment, and for that to make out a schedule of eachpersons property in end to ap- - potint all as. said town, whether the 16' ner resides ia or out sesor and of this state; in wilich he shall state, (when collector and known,) the owners name, the numher of the lot or their duties lots, and the value of the same, including improve- przscr;hed: ments. and return the same to said trustees.
