Be it eltacted by the General Assembly qf the Com..
?nonvealth of Iccnlnck., 'I'llat the act of the ooutity
court of ' i\ootlord, in taking flh bond of the said

the bonds so taken, shall have all the elfect, and
force that they would have had if they had been cx-
ecuted before the first adjournment of s.d courvt

WHERE AS, it is represented to the present Gin.
e ,'al Assembly, by the petition of John Williams,
that he stands charged in the Fayette circuit coturl
for maiming one or his negro slaves, and also for i%
iiisdeneanor in conscquence thereor, and that ow-
ing to existing prejudices in said circni.t against th
said Williams it is aipln'ellend(A that lie cannot ob-
tain a fair and i mpartial titd : Therefore, futr re-
medy vliereof,
Sec. 1. le it enacted by the General Jssembly of
Changc of the CoN m onwvealIh of fentucky, TIhat at tie next
enue.     circuit court held in and for the county of Fayette,
to which lie is aat present recognized to appear, the
said John WilliamlS appearing il court to answer
said charge or indictincnt, may, and lie is hereby
authurized and allowed to make his election whether
le will be tried in tile Jessaniinc circuit court or not.
Sec. 2. That if the said John Williams shall, in
Regulations if open court, when I lie question of election is piit to
to be used in hint by the Judge of the Fayette circuit court, elect
Je'am .  to be tijled in the Jessanihc circuit court, lie shall en-
ter into a recognizance, himself and securities, in thd
penalty that Ile now stauds bound for, to appear on
the tlrst day of the succeeding terni of the said Jes-
$amino circuit court, and thero remain and abides
