APJ'ROVYD, January 10, i815.
WHEREAS it is represented t6 the present rzeg
General Assembly of tOe Commonwealth of Ken-
itcky, That several of the Trustees of the town of
Stanford have resigned and others have removed,
which circumstances render it impracticable to
form  a board of Trustecs-For remedy whereof,
Sr. I. B, it enacted by the General Issenibly of Tute  o.
the Cominionwealth of Acntlucky, That James David- pointed., n, re

son, Francis S. Reed, Thomas Helm, Michael Da- in.nct-30.
vidson and BenJamin Monroe, gentlemen, are here-
bmy appointed Trustees of said town of St,.nford,
to continue in offie until the first Monday in Feb-
ruary, in the' yeir 1816, at which tinme the free
white male inhabitants of said town, above the
age of twenty-one ykrs, shall meet at the Court-
bouse in the town of Stanford, and at the same time
and place in evcry year thereafter, aud elect five
Trustees for the said town from among the citizens
residing in said town, a majority of whom shall be
sufficient to constitute a board : Prorided, however,
That the Trustees appointed by this ac, or thoso
who shall be elected in coeformity to its Provisions,
shall i' mio case by operation of this law, ;vaeata
their offices until thlir successors shail be duly elect-
ed in the manner provided hy this act.
Sx:c. 2. A!nd be it further enacted, That the Trus-
tees by this act apptointed, and their successors, N. ,e.,  ond,
