CHAP. XLVI4.
AN ACT to revive ani amend tbe law eflablisbinga Turn-
pike'on the roaI leading from ibe counties of Madison and
Lincoln, to the Goose creek Salt-works.

Se     B   E it enacted by tbe General Asembly of the corn- act erecting
c. 1.    monwea/tb of Kentucky, That the aa paffed a   turnpike
the 3lft January, i81o, and one amendatory, thereof, the years
8th of February, 18 12, authorizing .h€ eeeion of a turn-
pike on the road leading from the counties f Madison and
Lincoln to the Goo~c creek salt-works, ffhall be and the same
are hereby extended five years from the paffage of this aa.
- Sec. 21 And the county court of Clay fliall, in the month
of April in the present year, and annu-Ily thereafter, op- Commission
point two fit persons ftld commiffioners, whose duty i to be pit
Ihall be to superintend the keeping the said road in good
repair frthe paffage of wheel carriages, and to examine
the work which Thall be patronized by the indertaker, or
any other perton who fhall have charge of the hands emp-
ployed to work on said road ; and from time to time, 4nd
at lealt once in every year, report to sad court the situation
of said road, and the repairs necessary to be made; upon
which the said court fliall make such order as they may
dzern neceffary for keeping the said road in good repair ;
and the court ihall make the said commifioners such al-
lowance for their services as they may 4eem sufficien; pro-
vided such allowance does not'exceed one dollar pcr day for
the time they fhall be adually employed, payable out of any
money colleacdat the turnpike.
See. 3. Be it further enaeled, That all persons refiding  Who shall
within five miles of the turn-pike road leading from the labour on the
flate road near Rockcaftle bridge, to Goose creek salt-works, road
and who are subje& zo labour, on public roads by the laws
of this commonwealth, fhall labour three days in every
year on said turn pike road, under diredion of the said
commiflioners, who fhall p.ocuie a lift of a!! such persons,
and notify, or cause notic: ro i-e given them at what times
anJ plice  they mufl attend to perform the duties required
