a i. BE it enacted 6y tbe General Ajembly,
e at af that all public roads from the feat ofjutiice in
30 feet w. one county, to the feat of jutlice in another
county, or to any-fah works, or to the feat
of government, [hall be kept at leafi thirty
feet wide ; and fuch parts thereof as the
county courts may thinik proper, as much
wider as faid courts may at any time think
And not proper to order, not exceeding lforty feet,
,o fo tniooth that carriages may paf's with con-
venience ; but it Ihall be the duty of the court
before they make fuch order, to direct fum-
