An Act to carry into effect the ninth clause of thefrst section of the Jifth
article of the Constitution.
9. SEC. I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Geor-
gia, That from, and after the passage of this Act, if any officer shall
knowingly issue any marriage license to partie , either of whom is cnef
of African descent, and the other, a white person, such officer shall  as ra
