Johnson, G. L. Aarren, Joshua J. Hlarris, W. HI. Sharpe, R. K. IHol- cotm
liday, and James Alford be, and they are hereby appointed Com-
missioners of the said town of Jonesboro', until the election of Com-
missioners agreeable to this act.
2. SEC. II. And be it further efacted, That onth first Saturday
in January next, and on the first Saturday in January   e

or some other place hesignated by the Commissioners of said town,
and by ballot elect seven Commissioners, who shall continue (in f en of of-
fice) one year, and until their successors are elected; at which elec
tion, any two Justices of the Inferior Court of said county, or any
two Justices of the Peace for said county, may preside ; and in ease  e es
of death, or removal, or resignation ofmany of said Commissioners,
the remaining Commissioners shall have the power to fill the vacan-
cy or vacancies, to continue in office until the next annual election;
