Sc. VIII. Be itfurther enacted, That all moneys that may be collected by said corporation by virtue of this act (except their hUito fees herein after mentioned) shall be paid into the hands of the T.s. Treasurer to be applied by him as the Commissioners may direct, for the benefit of the citizens of said corporation. .iinll'p tic. 127. Sec. IX. Be it further enacted, That said commissioners arIni shall be allowed the same fees as Justices of the Peace are for the like services, and the 1\irshal shall be allowed the same fees which the Slieritr is now allowed by law for the like services. 128. Sec. X. Be it fur/er enacted, That the said Commissioners and all officers by them appointed, shall, before entering upon the ON1 1 *r- duties of their oflice, take and subscribe the following oath: 1. A. B., do solemnly swear, that I will to the utmost of my ability discharge the duties of a for the town of Alpharetta during my contin- iance in oflice,and that I will support and defend the Constitution of the State, and or the United States, so help me God. 129. Sec. XI le it further enacted, That said Commissioners shall have power to fine or imprison (or both at their discretion) all persons who shall be guilty of a violation of any of the by-laws, rules and ordinances of said corporation, provided that said flue shall at no time exceed the suni of ten dollars, and that the term of impris- onment shall not exceed five days. 130. Sec. XII. Be it further enacted, That the Marshal appointed unarrany as aforesaid, shall have power to call to his aid in the execution of fall ai. the duties of his office, all free white persons capable of bearing arms in said county.
