$100 to be  Sec II.   And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid,
refunded to
herifsheba. That the sum ofOne Hundred dollars be refunded to said Eliza-
p'd St. tax. beth Thompson, Provided she has paid said State tax, that being the
amount assessed upon her for the year eighteen hundred and fifty-
E, Tax e4. seven, and that said sum be repaid to her by the Tax Collector, pro-
baaoti - vided it be yet in his hands, or if it be paid into the Treasury, that
sraw bg, his Excellency the Governor be authorized to draw his warrant for
warrant  the same.
nf. 6rA -of Sec. III. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid,
Fbertoo to That the Inferior Court of Elbert county be and are hereby author-
ta them ized to refund to said Elizabeth Thompson the amount of county
by ncurred tax assessed upon her for said year for the allowing said negro to

Sec. IV. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid,

Be it enacted, That in consideration of the age and infirmity of
eabeth Elizabeth Coleman, a colored woman, of the county of Hancock,
001'd woa- that the Tax Collector of said county shall remit the tax of said
S.M. Elizabeth Coleman.

an Actfor the relief of John Atwell.
pmamble.  Whereas, John Atwell, Tax Collector for the county of Randolph,
in the year 1856, in receiving the bills of the several banks in the
State of Georgia in payment of the taxes due by the citizens of said
county, received the bills of the Manufacturers and Mechanics
Bank of Columbus for State and county taxes the sum of Fifty-sev-
en dollars, and whereas, satisfactory proof was made to the Inferior
Court of said County, that 4 the time the bills of said bank were
paid to the said John Atwell as Tax Collector as aforesaid, the said
bank was in good credit, and said Court being satisfied with the
proof of the same, received the county's portion of the bills of said
bank, from said John Atwell, and whereas, John Atwell has paid
into the Treasury the full amount of taxes due by said county,
