And be it 6further enacted, That should the Inferior Court thil to obtain the services of any person to act as Commis- Inferior sioner, in any of the said Districts, then the Justices of the Infe- conr. rior Court may, if they or any one of them choose, act as Coi- missioner or Commissioners of the roads in said District or Dis- tricts. SEc. VII. And be it farther enacted, That the Act passed on the twenty-sixth of December, 1826, entitled an Act to alter and amond an Act entitled an Act to amend the Road Laws of this State, assented to on the nineteenth December, 1818, be and the same is hereby continued in force in said County of Burke. Approved, Vebruary 17th, 1854. (No. 492.) An Act to authorize the Conmissioners of Roads, in the Counties of Glynn and Camden, to relieve the hands of certain persons therein mentioned. SEOTION I. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre- sentatives of the State of Georgia in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That from and after the passage of this Act, the Commissioners of Roads, in the (nn' Counties of Glynn and Camden, be and they are hereby authoriz- sioners. ed and required to relieve the hands in the possession, employ- ment or control of F. D. Scarlett, P. M. Scarlett, Dr. Oakmnan, William Oakinan, I and Robert S. Piles, of Glyun County, and the hands belonging to the estate of John Parlan, in Glynn and Camden Counties, and the hands of R. Berry and Catharine Berry, in the County of Camden, from road duty in their respective nanti re- districts, and 'in lien thereof, to permit said hands to be employed lease. in finishing the cutting of a Canal heretofore commnuced, between Little Satilla and Tnrtle Rivers, through what is usually called the narrows, and that R. J. Berry, David Scarlett and Dr. Oakman, be and they are hereby appointed Commissioners to superintend the workinm of sadd hands from year to year. SEC. YI. And be it jurtAer enacted, That all laws and parts of laws militating against this Act, be and the same are hereby re- pealed. Approved, February 18th, 1854. (No. 493.) An Act to amend the Act of 4th December, 1799, in relation to the manner qf arriving at the damages sustained by the laying out of Public Roads in this State, andfor other purposes, so far as re- lates to the County of Floyd.
