Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repreauardans sentatives of the State of Georgia in General Assembly met, Thatsripuvst in all cases after the passage of this Act, in which the Guardian o by any minor or minors in this State, shall have in his or her hands asnpprovM or such guardian, surplus funds belonging to his or her ward; it shall Ordinar be lawful for such Guardian to lay out and invest the same or any part thereof in the purchase of such slave or slaves, as in the judg- ment of such Guardian shall be advantageous to the interest of his or her ward; Provided, That no such investment shall b made, except by the approval of the Ordinary in the county where such toe filr u Guardian shall make returns, and that a fall account of the pricerountin lia paid, the time when, and the name of the person, from whom such returnp. purchase is made, shall be set forth in the returns of such Guardians. 4. Six. III. Be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, That all laws and parts of laws repugnant to this Act be, and the same are hereby repealed.* Approved, February 17th, 1851. * Rv.
