Be it enacted by the Sate awd Ifose of Representatives qf the State of Georia in General As- seibly met, ald it is hereby enacted by the authority Pnrt orAct qf the same, That so much of the first section of tlietin Jai. Act,* to which this is anendatory, as is contained in the words upon giving twenty days notice thereof, in one of the public gazettes of said county, and at the Court House, be and the same is hereby repealed. TWIEREAS, It is the object of said Societ y, to Oducate, clothe and support, such poor and destitute fiunalo chil- dren, as are orphans, or whose parents are unable to sup- port them ; and, wh iereas, it is necessary to carry out the benovolent intentions towards such cihilren, that snd So- ciety should have the power of receiving them as appron- tices until the age of eighteen, and also of transferring n rA 0 such indenture of apprenticeship, for the purpose of hav- ing such children instructed in a useful art or callin- SECTroN I.
