Be it cfacte(l by the Senate and fouse of J)resentatives of the State of Gt'orgia in General A8- sembly met, and it i bcreby eoned by the authority of the c ca s'ene, That upon the, apl)lication of any person, under orfatemon oath, setting Iortli that any inanue or lunatic slave, or free be oretn person of color is running at large, and is a public nuisance, 6otpaint. or dangerous to the public, the Justices of the Inferior Court of the county shall issue a warrant, directed to the Sheriff; Deputy Sheriff, or any Constable of said county, requiring hiin to bringe such slave or free person of color before them. 2. SEo. I?. And be it further onacted, That it shall be Inferior Con the duty of said Inferior Court, as soon as possible after to e~antmieat ito ',',m. said arrest, to examine in a suiaiiirymannerintothe facts of the case, and if it shall appear that such slave or free prsoi of color in truth is a public nuisanice, or that his or biny conmit herl running at large is dangerous to the community, they t shall forthwith commit him or her to the conunon Jail of Noticeto the county ; Provided, That live days notice of said trial owotir or u'odian. is given to the owner or guardian of said slavo or froo per- son ef color. 3.
