recited act as authorizes the Grand Jurors of the county of For-
syth [to] be paid one dollar per day for their services, be and
the same is hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it flirticr e7acted b / e autlihOrity ('I nc-
said, That from and after the passage of this act, the Petit
Jurors of the Superior and Inferior Courts of Forsyth county.

provisions of this act, be and the same are hereby repealed.

AN ACT to amend an act passed in eighteen hundred and
forty-one, to give to all persons employed on steaniboats and
other water crafts oin the Cliattahooehee, Altaniaha and Oc-
mulgce rivers, a lien on said steam boats or water craft, for
his, her, or their wages, and for wood and provisionsI furnish-
ed, and to point out and facilitate the mode of the collection
of the same, so far as to extend the provi.ciis of the same.
and to include Flint river therein.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Scnatc and House of' Rep-
resentatives oJ the State of Georgia, in Gencral Asseibly nat,
and it is herebyl enacted by the authority of* the same, 'T'hat from
and immediately after the passing of this act, that all the pro-
visions of the above recited act be, and the same are hereby
extended to all persons employed on steam boats and other wa-
ter crats on Flint river. And whereas it frequently happens
that persons employed on said steamboats and other water cralts
on said Chattahoodice, Altamaha, Ocmulgee and Flint rivers,
are negroes and free persons of color, he it therefore further
enacted, that whenever any negro being a slave, or free I eron
of color, shall be employed as pilot, engineer, first or second
mate, fireman, deck liandor in any other capacity wiatsoever,on
all steamboats and other water cratIs engaged in the navigation
of said rivers, to wit, the Chattahoochee, Altaialia, Ocmulgee
and Flint rivers, that then, and in all such cases, the owner,
master, agent, attorney at law or attorney iii fI, of said negro
slave or free person of color, shall have the like remedies for
wages or demands which he, she, or they may and shall have
against the owner or owners of said steamboats or other water
crafts, for the services of said negro slaves or fiee persons of
color, as are given to all other persons whose employments are
recited in said act.
SEC. 2. And he it further enacted by the authority afore-
