W11ERElAS, by reason of there being no representative on the estate of John Emerson, of the county of Morgan, (there heing a caveat filed to the probate of his last will and tes- tatlent,) the property of said estate was not returned to the Receiver of Tax Returns for said county, and was by him doubled taxed fbr such dcfhult: Aeli thereore enacCled, That the property of said Estate be relieved and disclarged from all the excess (, taxes occa- sioned by such delult ; and that the Tax Collector be, and lie is hereby authorized and required to collect the regular and single tax only, due from said estate, if the sline be not then collected ; and if collected, to pay back to the represol- tative of said estate, tle excess of taxes occasioned by such delult aforesaid. WHuEAs, Henry Young of the city of Darien, did pur- chase trom the Bank of' Darien, as guardian flr a frec mail of color, by the name of Henry Todd. a certain lot of land with the improvements thereon, siuated in the city of Darien, and known by the number one hundred and teln, oil the corne [r of Walton anmI First streets, and did pay three hundred and fifty dolhlrs, as the fhll considera- tion money, for the said purchase ; AND 1YIIElEAS, the said Henry Voung, as guardian aforesaid, has never ob- tained a title foIr said lot of land all imprmovnenits, froni the said the Bank of Darien ; for remedy whereof': SErriox 1.
