Sec. 15. And be it further enacted, That in case of failure
to hold the election for Commissioners, on the day herein
before specified, it shall be the duty of the Inferior Court or
any two of them, to give at least tcn days notice, by adver-
tisement, at three of the most public places in said corporation,
of such election.
Sec. 16. And be it further enacted, That the Commission-
ers shadl keep a regular Journal of all their proceedings, and
any member of the Board calling for the yeas and nays on
the passage of any by-law, ordinance on imposing any tax
on the inhabitants, they shall be recorded.
Sec. 17. And be it further enacted, That all by-laws, to-
gether with the Journals, shall be subject to inspection by any
person interested therein.

AN ACT to amend the several acts which have been pass-
ed, in relation to the powers and privileges of the corpora-
tion of the town of Athens.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-
tives of the State of Georgia, in General Assembly met, and it
is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That the com-
missioners of the town of Athens, and each and every one
of them, shall be vested with the powers of justice of the
peace, so as to enable them br any one of them, within the
corporate limits of the town of Athens, to suppress riots, or
breaches of the peace, arrest, confine, or bind over offenders
against the laws of the State, to answer for such offence be-
fore the proper tribunal.
