Whereas, tihe various acts of the legislature passed in relation to the incorporated and chartered rights of the city of Savannnah and the hamlets thereof' are subject to much ditt'erence of opinionA thereby occasioning mouch embarrasiment, and requiring frequent appeals to legislative interference in relation to concerns purely taunicipal and I'cal:- Be it therefore enacted by the Senate and Hmse of Representa, Sives of the State of Georoia in General Asseimbly met, and it i's hereby enacted by the autlority of the same, That from and after the passage of this act the jurisdictional limits of the city of Savannai and tihe hamlets thereof shall be extended to one mile beyond the present boundary, so .ts to enable the mayor and (Ilr1ermem for the time being to pass an ordinance or ordinances
