JOH(N CLARK, Governor; AN ACT To alter and a dmend an act eutitled an act to amend an act regu- lating roads in this state, passed the 13tly day of November, 18t3, so far as respects the county of Glynn. Be it enacted by the Senate and House f Representa. tives qp the State of Georgia, in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That.from and im- Inediately after the passing of this act, every free person or slave, subject to road duty on the south side of Turtle river, on the main in Glynn county, shall be liable to perform road duty on the post iroad leading from St. Mary's to Barrington, in said cqunty of Glynn, for the year 1821. § 2. .nd be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, That it shall be the duty of the Justices of the Inferior court qf Glynn county, to appoint three fit and proper persons to act as commis- sioners of said road. § 3. And be itfiurther enacted by the authority aforesaid, That all free persons, slave or slaves, so liable to work on said post road in said county.of Glynn, in failing so to do, the said free per- son aind owner or owners of such slaves, shall be subject to a fine of one dollar per day, to be recoverableas all road fines are recover- ed in said county of Glynn. 5 4.
