AN ACT For the better regulation of the town of Monticello, in the county of Jasper. WHEREAS the act Ilow in force, is found to he isuffil- cient for ithe purposes of well regulating the said town, for remedy whereof- § . Eit enacted by the Senate and Iou se rf Repre- sentatives of the State of Georgia, in General .1sembly net, and it ishei'eby enacted by the authority of the same, That the Commissioners of the said town of Monticello, shall have full power an( authority, to pass such bye. laws and regulations as they may deem necessary, for imposing an(l collecting a tax tipon the citizens of said town and corporation, as they may (eem necessary, for the purpose of unproving and keeping in good repair the public wells and springs within the limits of said incorporatio4-provided, that such tax shall not exceed the sum of one dollar, on each an(l every person liable by law, to pay a poll tax, within the lrini of one year. § 2 Ind be it further enacted, That the said Com.
