AN ACT
To alter and amend an ad entitled an ad to carry into ftq
the sixth scaion of the third article of the constitution, and
to amend an ad entitled an ad to carry into ejerd the sixth
seion of the fourth article of the constitution, touching
the diitribution of intestate estates, direding the manner of
granting letters of administration, letters testementary and
marriage licences, and to prevent entails, passed on the
16th day of February, 1799.
SEc. 1. B   E it enaefed by the Senate and Houc of Re-
prefentatives of theflate of Georgia, in General Afembly mct,
That a court of ordinary be held in every county of this
Rate on the firft Monday in January next, and on the
firit Monday in every fecond month thereafter; and if it
fhall be thought neceffary by fuch court, at any time
thereafter, it may adjourn to the firR Monday in the
month thereafter; except the county of Camden, where
it thall be the duty of the juffices of the inferior court to
holda couit df ordinary immediately after the adjourn-
ment of the inferior court of faid county, to adjourn faid
court of ordinary to fuch time as they may deem necef-
fary.
SE c. 2. And be it further enaled, That no adminif-
trator fhall be allowed to fell any flave or flaves belonging
to the eftate of his inteftate, but where the other perfonal
eflate, together with the -hire of fuch flave or flaves for
twelve months, lhall be infufficient to difcharge the debts
due by the eftate, or where one or more flaves fhall be
fubje6t to diftribution and an equal divifion thereof cannot
