AN I OT in addition to An Act entitled An Act to amend the Act entitled
An K.ct concerning bMarriage Licenses, approved January 23,1832
SwTio  1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of .Repre-
sentatives of the State of Pf lorida in General Assembly convened,.
White femalo That if any white female resident within this State shall hereafter-
shall not inter- attempt to intermarry, or shall live in a state of adultery or for-
marry or live in
fornication and nication with any negro, mulatto, or other person of color, she
edntery wth s~all be deemed to be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon convio,
ion shall be fined in a sum not exceeding one thousand dollars,
or be confined in the publi6 jail not exceeding three months, or-
both, at the discretion of the jury, and shall moreover be dis-.
qualified to testify as a witness against any white person-
Sac. 2. Be it further enacted, That if any negro, mulatto, or,
