Be it resoloed bl the;Senate, and Iouse  ofi.qRepreaentativc of
the State o,t Florida,:'in.:  ( erZAss nmbly ofvened, That our iteprepozaiv's
Senators and Representativ: in Congress be' instructed and re-   requested
quested to use their Iestendeiors to Iio('&the present law, pro-
viding for a Tax in Kind, so amende'd as to exempt from     the
operations of anid law all womien in the possession of farms
whoso husbands or sns are in the service, and who have no
slaves.
Be itfurtherresolved, That the Governor be requested totrans-
mit a copy of these rsohutib|is to each of our Senators and
Representatives in Congress.

24th day of December next be set apart throughout, the State as
a day of Fasting, Humiliation and Prayer, and that His Excel-
lency, the Governor, is hereby requested to issue his proclama-
tion to that effect-.
Pasied the Senate November 28, 1868. Passed the House of Representatives
December 1,1803. Approved by the Governor December 2, 1803.
