nppoint Stevedores, and for other purposes.
SEtoN 1. Be it enacted by the ,genate and MIouse of'RepJresen-
tatives of the State of' Florida in General A ssembly convened,
That after the passage ild approval of this act it shall be the Port Wardens
duty of' the Port Wa'rdens of tle port of Jacksonville to appoint vedore t-
a suflicient number of stevedores from applicants, who shall be
white men and citizens of the State of Florida, and whose char-
auters and qualifications shall, in the estimation of' the Board of Quallilcatlon.
