AN ACT giving certain powers to Executors, Administrators, and Guar-
dians.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Represen.

s1hve publicly tatives of the State of 'lorida in General Assembly convened, That
or privately, Executors, Administrators and Guardians may exercise, under an
order obtained from the Judge of Probate, a sound discretion in hi-
ring slaves under their control, either publicly or privately, as may
be most conducive to the safety and comfort of the slaves and the
permanent interest of their owners.

the interest of estates or of minors and guardians, may keep slaves

regular accouits of receipts and expelnditures in the discharge of

Judge of Probate, but suelt Guardian shall receive no compensation
