dians who may be about to emigrate.

AN ACT to regulate the practice in Criminal Prosecutions.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and h7ouse qf
1?ejreeentative8 of the State of Ff lorida in General A;-
8embly convened, That from and after the passage of this
conclusion. Act, in all cases wherein the Defendant upon his trial in-
troduces no testimony, lie shall, by himself or Counsel, be
entitled to the concluding argument before the Jury, as is
now the practice in the trial of civil cases.

AN ACT amendatory of the several Acts now in force in this State in relation
to Trading with Negroes.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and Mloume of
Representatives of the State of F lorida in General As-
sembly convened, 'That it shall not be lawful for any per-
Negroes, trad- son by himself, agent, servant or slave, to sell or give any
lg with. spirituous or vinous liquors to any negro within this State,
in any quantity. Any person violating the provisions of
this Act, shall be subject to indictment, and upon convic-
tion, be lined not exceeding one hundred dollars, or im-
prisonnent not exceeding three months, at the discretion
of the Court: .Provided, That this Act shall not be so
construed as to forbid owners fiom giving their own slaves
spirituous or vinous liquors.
