AN ACT
To amend an act  relting to Crimes and Misdemcanors.
Be it enacted by the Governor and Legislative Council
, of the Territorgi of F'lorida, That if any person shall
buy, accept or receive from any slave, any moneygra Ill Tradilg with
or other produce or thing, o- shIll trado, in ay mi ner, laves ithout
with any slave, without a permit, in writing from the  permit.

pose of or trade for ; every person so ofl'ending shall be
fined in the sum of twenty dollars, to be recovered by
warrant, before any justice of the peace in this Territo-
ry, one half to the informant and the other half to be
paid into the Treasury of this Territory ; and for the
second offence, s1c10 person or persons so ofelnding shall
pay a fine of fifty dolars, to be recuveired in rna nnr as
aforesaid, or shall be punished by the iifliction of a num-
ber of stripes, not to exceed twenty, at the discretion
of tile justice of the peace.
Sec. 2. Be it further enacted, That so much of the
110th section of  an act relating to crimes and misde- Repealing
