CHAPTER CXVIII.
AN ACT to provide for certain deficiencies in the penal code.
atp     SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

any person, any poison or other destructive thing, with intent to com-
mit murder, every such oflender shall be guilty of felony, and, being

than five hundred, nor more than five thousand dollars; shall be
set in the pillory for the space of one hour; shall sufler imprison-
ment for any termn not exceeding two years, and shall, at the ex-
piration of such term, be disposed of as a servant for a period no'
lss than one year nor more than seven years.
SECTION 2. And be it enacted, That from and after the passing
