e'Arkansas; That all swamp and ove&rfiwed Iaindi, now, or
hereafter subject to 'entry, according to xiti  s,
within six miles of the Saline river, in the portioi of ofcount
above Mt. Elba, in Bradley county, and White river, ab ( te
three forks of the same in Washington county, shall besubject
to entry at fifty cents per acre, any law or ordinaice to the
contrary notwithstanding.
SEC. 2. Any entries of swamp land made in said portionk of
country above described heretofore in good faith at fifty cents
per acre stall be perfected into titles withOut any further pay-
ment, any law to the contrary notwithstanding.
SEC. 3. This act shall take effect from its passage.

1. Dimensions of new buildings. Au-
ditor, treasurer and secretary of
state, to contract with A. J. Ward.
2. To contract with said Ward also fur
the keeping (of convicts.
3. Twenty-three thouspnd dollars to be
paid for the said buildings. Work
to be done in two years.
4. Governor to appoint inspector to re-
port progress.

penitentiary.
7. Keeper of penitentiary to introduce
machinery, on what conditions.
9. Commutation of term of impriso-
ment-on what conditions.
