repealed.

AN ACT supplementary to an act to aid in the construction of
the Cairo and Fulton Railroad, approved 1855.
SECTION                      SECTION
1. Time given the Cairo and Fulton Rail-  lands to be extended to a period of
road Company to accept the grant of  not exceeding six months.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of
Arkansas, That the act to which this is a supplement, be, and
and the same is hereby amended, so that the Cairo and Fulton
railroad company may bave a period of not exceeding six months
from the date of the approval of this act, within which time said
company shall determine whether the said 'company will accept
the grant of land referred to in the act to which this is a supple-
ment, and that all laws inconsistent with the provisions of this
act, be, and the same are hereby modified.

1. Town of Dardanelle, with specified
limits, incorporated.
2. Officers of town; how elected or ap-
pointed; term of office.
3. Qualifications of voters and town offi-
cers.
4. Style of corporation; of alderman and
councilmen; alderman to preside over
council and to give casting vote.
5. Times and manner of holding elec-
tions; election of alderman to e cer-
tified to Governor.
6. Election of councilmen and constable
to be certified to alderman; 'official
oaths; constable and recorder to give
otlicial bonds.
7. Alderman and council to have succes-
sion as a body politic for ninety-nine
years; to purchase and sell, etc., all
kinds of property; to sue and be su-
ed, etc.
8. Town council to pass ordinances for

9. Alderman to be a conservator of the
peace; his powers and duties as such.
10. be manner of enforcing the collec-
tion of all fines.
11. Powers of town council; to levy and
collect an ad valorem tax, etc.
12. Constable to be assessor and collector
of taxes; recorder to be town trea-
surer.
18. Right of granting licenses.
14. Duties of town council.
15. Vacancies, and how filled.
16. Duties of recorder.
17. Constable to be overseer of streets; his
duties as such.
18. Alderman and three councilmen to be
a quorum.
19. This corporation not to issue change
tickets; this act to take effect from
passage.

Arkansas, That the town of Dardanelle, in the county of Yell,
