of Hot Spring county, who shall thereupon appoint three com-
missioners to examine the same, and if they report that the work
is done according to the meaning and intent of this act, then the
said Barkman, his heirs and assigns shall be entitled to receive
the following tolls to wit: For a four horse wagon, 30 cents; for
a two horse or ox wagon, 20 cents; for a pleasure carriage, 25 ets;
for a man and horse, 10 cents; for cattle, horses, hogs, and sheep,
per head, 2 cents.
SEC. 4. Be it further enacted, That if the said Barkman, his
heirs or assigns, should fail to keep said bridge in good repair, lie
shall be fined not less than ten, nor more than twenty dollars for
each week that the same may be out of repair, to be recovered
by motion in the county court, in the name of the county, which
fine or fines shall go to the internal improvement fund of the
county.
SEC. 5. Be it further enacted, Thai this act shall take effect
and be in force from and after its passage.

SECTION                      [SECTION
1. Town council to appoint overseers of 5. Provisions in case of failure to elect,
streets.                   6. Powers and duties of town council.
2. Apportionment of hands.    7. Act in force from passage.
3. Penal jurisdiction.
4 Qualification of alderman or council-
man.
SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of
Arkansas, That it shall be the duty of the Town Council of
said town, on the first Monday in January of each year, to ap-
point one overseer of the streets in said town, who shall hold his
office for the term of one year, and until his successor is duly ap-
pointed.
