An act for 1the relief of Benjamin F. Woodruff, adinistrator, and
Magatet Pierce, administratrix of the estate of John Pierce,
deceased.
ECTION.                       ISECTION.
1. Sale of a certain slave by said ad-  $650, to said administrators. Act
ministrator, made legal.       in force from passage.
2. Probate court to charge the sum ofl
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of
Arkansas, That the sale of a certain slave called Jim, belonging
to the estate of John Pierce, d-eceased, late of Washington county,
by the administratdrs of said estate to Jared C. Martin, of Pulaski
county, for the sum of six hundred and fifty dollars be, and the same
is hereby legalized and made valid, and the title vested in said ven-
dee to said slave.
SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That it shall be the duty of the'
probate court of the county of Washington to charge the said sum
of six hundred and fifty dollars to said administrators, in their next
settlement, and that this act be-in force from and after its passage.

Arkansas, That James Maxey, of the county of Newton be, and he
is hereby declared the lawful heir of Walter Maxey of said county.
SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That the said James Maxey shall
have the same power, and enjoy the same rights and privileges, as
he could have, if he had been born the legal heir of the said lValter
Maxey.
