An Act to change the name of Mildred Ciphers, to the name of
Mildred Shumate, and to constitute her a lawful heir to the estate
of Balis Shumate, and Mary Shumate, his wife.
SECTION                           SECTION
1. Changes the name of Mildred Ci-   to the estate of Balis and Mary
phers to that of Mildred Shumate.  Shumate.              M
2. Said Mildred constituted a legal heir  3. This act to take effect from its pas-
sage.
SEdTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State
of Arkansas, That the name of Mildred Ciphers, the adopted
daughter of Balis, and Mary Shumate his wife, now living in the
county of Madison, and State of Arkansas, be, and the same is hereby
changed to that of Mildred Shumate.
SEc. 2. Be it further enracted, That the said Mildred Ciphers,
now Mildred Shumate, be, and she is hereby constituted a legal heir
to the estate of the aforesaid Balis Shumate and Mary Shumate, to
all intents and purposes, as she would be if she was their own legiti-
mate offspring.
SEc. 3. Be itfurther'enacted, That this act shall take effect, and
be in force from and after its passage.
