An Act to incorporate the town of Camden.

SECTION.
1. Camden incorporated.
2. Names of trustees-term of office-
quorum.
3. Trustees may have said town survey.
ed, and laid off into streets, &c.
4. Qualification of electors-elections by
them for trustees when to be hold-
en.
5. Qualification of trustees.
6. Oath of trustees.
7. On failure to hold elections at the
time fixed in this act, may be held
on ten days notice.
8. When trustees to meet-to elect Pre-
sident-treasurer-treasurer to give
bond--his duties-how proceeded
against for any defalcation-also to
appoint a clerk-his term of office-
oath.
9. Trustees to appoint assessor-his oath
-his dutibs-to make list of taxable
property-also to appoint a collector
-his bond-power of collector. to
make distress and sale-compensa-
tion of assessor, collector, treasurer
and clerk.
10. Power of the trustees to make by.
laws and ordinances-to levy a tax
upon the inhabitants and property
of the town-proviso as to amount-
general powers conferred on trus-
tees.

SEc. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of
Arkansas, That the town of Camden in the county of Ouachila, shall
be, and the same is, hereby incorporated.
