SEc.    Be it encttd by the General Assemely of the 6tate of
Arkansas, That the 31st and 32d'sections of an act to establish a
system of conmon schools in the State of Arkansas approved, 3d
February 1S46, be and the saetb    e hereby repealed.
SE. 2. That it shall be the duty of the financial receiver of the
State BAnk at Little .ock, to place to the credit of the treasurer of
the State, the sum of one thousand dollars in specie, which is hereby
appropriated for the purchase of books for the use of common schools.
Sdc. 3. That it shall be the dute of the auditor of the State, to
draw his warrant on'the treasury forp said sum of one thousand dol-
lars, and expend the same within three. months in purchasing suita-
ble school books, for the common schools of this State.
SEc. 4. That it shallbe the duty of the auditor, when said hooks
are, received, to distribute the same to the board of school commis-
sioners 1f the several counties, in proportion to the representation of
each county, in the House oc Representatives of the present General
Assembly.
SEC. 5.    That the boend to- be executed by the purchaser, as pro-
vided for in the 6th section of the act to which this is a supplerient,
