An Act for the elief of George A. Pettigrew and Jaracs Kinnibrugh.
SEMON.                          SECTION.
1. Authorized to resign guardianship.  3. Guardian to sell slaves.
2. James Kinnibrugh to be appointed.  4, Nature of title.
Be it enacted bl the Gneral Assembly of the State of Aekansast
That Georg A. etrw, guardian of Susan, John, Mary,. Jane,
ilpiia, and James, minors, and infant heirs of William Kinnibrugh,
deceased, be, and he is hereby, authorized to resign his said guardian-
ship upon his making a full and complete settlemerit of the same,
livith the probate court of Washington county.
SEC. 2.- B it further enacted, That said probate court of Washing-
ton county is hereby aiutborized and required to appoint James Kinni-
brugh, of said c6unt), guardian of the persons and property of 'the
above named infant heirs, according to the laws now in force, in rela-
tion to the appointment of guardians, upon the resignatiod of the
guardianship of the said George A. Pettigrew.
SEC., 3. Be it further enacted, That the said James Kinnibrugh,
when he shall have been appointed guardian of the aforesaid minor
heirs, in accordance with the provisions of the preceding sections of
this act, shall be, and hie is hereby, authorized and, empoive~edto, sell,
dispose of, and convey to, the purchaser or purchasers thereof, Ishan
and Barbary, two negro slaves, belonging to said minors, upon terms
which he may deem most advantageous and most conducive t    e
interest of .said minors..
SEc. 4. Be it further enact, That the title which the said James
Kinnibrugh may or sball convey to tle above named negro slaves, t(
the, purchaser or, purchasers thereof, -under the. provisions of this act,
ball be' as full and'complete in every respect, and shall, as. ctimpleiel'y
operate as a bar to all and every other claim or claims. to said slaves,
as though the same were sold 'and conveyed by theisaid, rminor heirs,
were they of full age and acting in their own proper persons.
