1836. and the other half in six months, from the completion of said
court-house and jail.
Ssc. 6. Be it further enacted, That if there should not be
money enough in the treasury of the county o( Phillips, not
otherwise appropriated, to pay off the several sums of money
authorized to be paid by the commissioners aforesaid, then it
Clerk to issue shall be the dutv of the clerk of the county court to issue a cer-
cotfiace.  tiicate or certiticates for the amount of money so due by the
county of Phillip-. which said certificates shall draw interest
at the rate of siz pcr cent. per annum until redeemed.
SEC. 7. t it furihtr ctiacted, That a majorit v of the corn-
mi-sionlers appoirted as aforesaid, shall have full power and
authority to  and perform all such acts as may be necessary
to carry into effect an of the provisions of this act; and that

how   d'   of ommis-ioners, shall be filled by the presiding judge of the
county court, and the persons or person to appointed shall, in
c% c ry r'1pect. comp:y with the requisitions of this act.
Svc. b. B it further enacted, That in case ans pernon or
peiotj' who may become a contractor or contractors for the
uilding and completion of thewhole, or of any part of said
Contracio', court-house and jail. shall fail to perform and execute, faithful.
faiing to r* lv, their said contract or 4 ontracts, according to the tenor and
for contract  i ct thereof. it shall he the duty of the prosecuiting attorney
for the distritt, upon the re(piet of said comminiioners, to
commence suit againut said delinquent, upon his, her, or their
said bonds. and powerute the same to judgment; and the
damages, if any, to be recra(red in that behalf, shall be for
the use and hn' fit of the (ount) aforesaid.
Sac. 9. Hle it [firther) nn, d, That the commijsioners
compehanon aforcaid shall Iat Ii recei e the uin of one dollar per day for

SEc. 10. Be it further rnacted, That all iaws and parts of
laws inconsistnt % ith. or repugnant to, the pro ions of this
act, be, and the s.umw are hereby. repealed.
