AN ACT appointing Commissioners to superintendthe
building of a Court House and Jail in the town of
Columbia for the benefit of the citizens of Chicot
County.
Src. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of the Territory of Arkansas, That Anthony H.
Davis, James Estill, Samuel A. Walker, Horace T. Comnission-
Walwoith, and William McD. Pettit, be, and-they era names.

SEc, 2. Be it further enacted, that the said Com-
missioners before entering on the duties of their
office, shall, before the Judge of the County
Court, or some Justice of the Peace of the proper
county, take an oath or affirmation, faithfully and Commission-
diligently to execute the trust in them by this act ers to nake

SEC. 3. Be it furlher enacted, That the said Com-
missioners shall, as soon as practicable after the pas-
sage of this act, determine on the dimensions and
kind of court house and jail they will erect, and Commission-
