SEc. 1. Be it enacted by the General .ssemblu
of the Territory of .1rkansas, That the sheriffs, Mode 0 tak-
or other officers whose duty it may be to take the iag the n t.
census in this territory, shall make their returns in
the following form, to wit:
FREE WHITE.       aFRE COT-I
ORED FR.  SLAVES.
MALS.      FkMALES. SONS.

SEc. 2. And be it further enacted, That this
act shall take effect, and be in force, from and af-
ter its passage.
