SEC. 6. BeC it further enacted, That in order to fali-

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of
Rlepresentatives of the State of Alabama in General Assem-
bly convened, That A. J. ingersol, Samuel Wolff, S. 8.
Webb, William Flash, R. HI. Slough, C. W. Butt, Jno.
cerwators D. Raglind, P. Conley, L. Durand, E. A. Tracey, John
Billups, James A. Wemyss, L. T. Woodruff, Wm. 1H.
Moffet, Jno. T. Taylor, Hulcum Hudson, and Price Wil-
liams, of the city of Mobile, and such others as may be-
come stockholders in this company, and their successors,
be, and they are hereby made a body politic and corpor-
ate, under the name and style of  The Stonewall Insur-
Farpose6.  ance Company, for the purpose of conducting and doing
a general insurance business in the city of Mobile.
SEC. 2. Be it furfher enacted, That said company shall
have power in its corporate name, to sue and be sued,
to have a common seal, and'to alter the same at pleasure;
to hold, purchase, convey, and dispose. of all kinds of
estate, real and personal; to receive, accept, constitute

ers. such subordinate officers, clerks and employees, as in the
opinion of its president -and directors, may be necessary
to its business; to prescribe their duties, and fix their
compensation; to make by-laws for the government of

fer of its stock, the management of its property and
affairs, and to alter and amend such by-laws and regula-
