To ierease the fees of Jailors.
SECTION 1. Beit enacted by the Scnate and Housee of Ie  $.or whie.
resentatives of the State of Alabama in General Assembly
convened, That from and after the passage of this act the
jail fees Is to matters hereinafter specified shall be as fol-
lows viz: To victualing each white person, one dollar and
half per day; for victualing each slave or free person ofst for saVe.
color, one dollar and a quarter per day in lieu of the fees
now allowed by law for similar services.
SEC. 2. Be it frthr ernacted, That this act shall con-ari., war.

To increase the pay of jurors in this State.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by 7ihe Senate and ou8e of Rep. Pay of regular
pesentatives of the State of Alabama in General Asaembly Jurors.
convened, That, regular jurors, both grand and petit,
serving as such are entitled to receive four dollars for
each day's service and ten cents a mile in going to and
returning from court, and ferriages.                  Taiun Juror..
SEc. 2. Be it further enacted, That tales Jurors shall
receive the same compensation as is allowed to regular
jurors, but are allowed no mileage or ferriages.     Repealing.
SEc. 3. Be it further enacted, That all laws arid parts
of laws- in ccnflict with the provisions of this act are
hereby repealed.
